What can I use for free?

Right now, everything. Every plan is free for now with every feature included: compliance tracking, rent and arrears, repairs, the tenant portal, messages, expenses, inspections, the Today brief, tax review packs, accountant and team access. No card is needed and nothing is charged automatically.

Does Tendmere file my tax return or MTD updates with HMRC?

Not yet. Tendmere keeps your rent and expenses in the categories HMRC uses and prepares quarterly review packs, but sending updates to HMRC from Tendmere is not switched on. You or your accountant stay responsible for filing.

Does it work in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland?

Yes. Compliance checklists and rent rules follow the nation the property is in, checked against official sources. Tendmere gives practical reminders, not legal advice.

Do my tenants have to pay or download anything?

No. The tenant portal is free for tenants and works in any web browser.

Can Tendmere connect to my bank?

Not yet. Open Banking feeds are waiting on provider set-up. Today you record payments in a couple of taps or import a CSV file.
