Accessibility Statement

1. Our commitment

Tendmere (operated by Down the Cove Group Ltd, Company No. 16784991, registered office 18 Bond Street, Leeds, LS15 8GE) is committed to making our websites and web app accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that property management software should work for landlords regardless of how they use the web.

This statement applies to the Tendmere marketing website at tendmere.com, the Tendmere app at app.tendmere.com. Native iOS and Android releases are not currently available and are outside this public statement until their accessibility testing is complete.

2. Standard we aim to meet

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These internationally recognised standards are set by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and are the basis of UK public sector accessibility legislation.

3. Conformance status

The Tendmere marketing website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the standard. We are actively working to improve in the areas listed below.

Pre-release native builds are being designed against platform-specific accessibility guidance:

  • iOS: Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines for Accessibility (VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion)
  • Android: Google’s Material Design accessibility guidance (TalkBack, font scaling, colour contrast)

4. What we’ve done so far

  • Keyboard navigation — every interactive element is reachable and operable with a keyboard. A visible focus ring indicates the current element.
  • Skip to main content — a skip link appears on keyboard focus at the top of every page.
  • Semantic HTML — landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and heading hierarchy help screen-reader users navigate content.
  • Colour contrast — body text meets the WCAG AA 4.5:1 ratio. Large text and interactive elements meet 3:1 at minimum.
  • Reduced motion — we respect the prefers-reduced-motion browser setting and disable non-essential animations.
  • Descriptive link text and ARIA labels on icon-only buttons.
  • Forms with visible labels, error messages, and validation feedback.
  • Resizable text — content reflows up to 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
  • Alternative text for images — decorative images are marked with aria-hidden; informative images include descriptive alt text.

5. Known issues

We’re aware of the following areas where we fall short of WCAG 2.1 AA. We’re working to resolve them:

  • Some marketing graphics and dashboard previews do not yet include long-form text alternatives.
  • A few embedded third-party widgets (live chat) may not be fully keyboard-accessible.
  • Comparison tables on the pricing and compare pages can be difficult to read with a screen reader on very narrow viewports.
  • Video content does not yet include captions or audio-described versions (we don’t currently publish video, but will caption future releases from day one).

If you encounter something that isn’t listed here, please tell us — we’ll add it and prioritise a fix.

6. How we test

  • Automated lint, semantic-label, and production build checks.
  • Keyboard navigation checks on launch-critical web flows.
  • Named controls and landmarks for assistive technology, with a broader independent accessibility audit still planned.
  • Colour contrast verification against WCAG thresholds during design review.

7. Feedback and contact

If you find an accessibility barrier on Tendmere or need content in a different format, please let us know and we’ll do our best to fix it quickly.

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 working days.

8. Enforcement procedure

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010. If you’re not happy with how we respond to your complaint, you can contact the EHRC or, for public-sector accessibility complaints, the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).

9. Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 11 April 2026. It was last reviewed on the same date and will be reviewed at least every 12 months, or whenever substantial changes are made to the site.
