Archiving sold or former properties
Keep historical records when you sell a property without cluttering your active portfolio.
Why archive instead of delete?
When you sell a property, you still need the historical data — rent records, expenses, and compliance history — for tax returns, capital gains calculations, and HMRC enquiries. Archiving keeps this data safe while removing the property from your active dashboard.
How to archive
Open the property, tap the menu (three dots), and select Archive property. The property will be removed from your active list, compliance dashboard, and rent tracking — but all data is preserved.
Viewing archived properties
Go to Properties → Filter → Show archived. Archived properties appear with a grey badge. You can view all historical records, export data, or restore the property to active status at any time.
Does archiving free up a property slot?
Yes. Archived properties don't count against your plan's property limit. If you're on the free plan (2 properties) and archive one, you can add a new one.
